Artistic statement

The foundation of my creative work is my desire to represent the human face in all its humanity, beauty, strength and gentleness, its experience and sensitivity. To achieve this, I currently use acrylic painting. I believe that this medium allows me to work more spontaneously and with fluidity.

Through my practice, I developed my own way of representing the characteristic traits of people of all ages, as well as the emotion they reflect. At times I was only focusing on some detail, such as the fear in a child’s look, or his suffering. But

With my current project, dedicated to multicultural, female portraits, I turned to emotions which I consider the most positive ones, such as pride, kindness, boldness, courage and determination, to just mention a few.

Sometimes, through my approach, I want to highlight the personality of the subject, which fueled imagination by taking a stand in social justice.

On the aesthetic level, I try to approach realism in my representation of a human face to then confront this element with movements of bright and frank colors, which I associate with the life of the character, the torments of their mind or their inner strength. These elements can be realized in the form of an explosion of color or circular movements, creating contrast and balance in the composition of my work.

I hope that I add my drop to the sea of contemporary art with the strokes of my brush. And while they may not be the most refined in the world, I hope they contribute to this vast space called: Art.
